Finally they are back! After long gray months, the sun and light are coming to Bordeaux again! Whether it’s outside, in an atypical setting, in a restaurant, on the terrace or to take away, all you want is to eat with them. Spring is also synonymous with renewal on the plate with lots of good products that we missed so much! Un Air de Bordeaux is here to share with you its best addresses that combine cordiality, good humor and seasonal products. Eat well in Bordeaux? It goes this way!

pickles

you know the song Pickles, mustard, pearl onions… but above all real chef sandwiches !! On the menu 4 sandwich proposals where everything is homemade : breads, sauces, side dishes…

In that pretty local glass you used to know table runner, still run by Juliette and Charly, you can try on the spot or take away generous open-flavored sandwiches inspired from all four corners of the world. Vegetarian bao, hot dog, fish kebab or even tsukune, a brioche bread with coated chicken meatballs, white cabbage with miso, sesame sauce and ginger pickles.

In addition, there are some original “side dishes” such as polenta fries with Cajun sauce or the deliciously spicy roasted KFC cauliflower.

to hydrate, delicious Bordeaux lemonades by Monkey’s Joke and co. For dessert, a pistachio jasmine lemon fondant cake, a comforting peanut cookie or even a yogurt ice cream with your choice of topping to accompany the first rays of sunshine this spring.

Matsa coffee

Finally something new on the right bank ! On Avenue Thiers, Sarah and Mathieu, a young Franco-Italian couple, have just found Matsa, a vegetarian canteen with Italian accents more than thought through.

A cheerful and understated vintage vibe reigns in this small, light-filled café-restaurant.

Here you can enjoy delicious morning coffee with pastries or have lunch there from Monday to Friday.

Small seasonal salads based on crisp fennel or beetroot, vegetarian foccacia, melt-in-your-mouth lasagna with butternut and gorgonzola are prepared by Sarah. Behind the bar, Mathieu shakes up delicious fresh cocktails to accompany your lunch.

The restaurant has one Terrace for sunny days. For example, you can also take a nice picnic in the botanical garden or in the Parc aux Angéliques. You won’t hesitate to cross the bridge!

Good to know: The couple organizes in the restaurant Workshops to learn how to make your own pasta and Mixology class to improve your cooking skills!

The Grand Atelier des Faures

And here is the big brother of the owl Petit Faures workshop from the rue des Menuts.

Located directly opposite the Palais de Justice, this pretty bistro welcomes you for lunch and dinner Bistronomic proposals for all tastes : gluten-free, vegetarian and even vegan on request.

Roman Winickiloyal to his kitchen, always working with his Capuchin Producers and New Aquitaine. The lunch menu is perfect for a lunch break in the sun on the terrace or in the light-flooded room. This is a quay that night owls know well. A restaurant with a neat decor has recently tucked away in this emblematic place of Bordeaux musicatypical environment. Sail away with your feet under the table accompanied by the chef Florent Loubensamong others former member of Pierre Gagnaire.

Deus cafe

This temple to fans of custom bikes and fashion houses a bar and restaurant that he runs Boss Lorenzo. Industrial atmosphere, open kitchen and careful selection of music are the decor of this new address of the Australian brand.
